The aim of regional food groups is to encourage, support and develop the production of the finest food and drink each region can offer, not only for local consumption but for a wider national and international audience.

The arrival of these groups has been warmly welcomed by tourism bodies, individual hotels and B&B’s, the Regional Development Agencies, good food shops, deli’s and restaurateurs keen to provide visitors with local food of character and quality.
