More than 100 people enjoyed a night of fun, food and fashion with celebrity chef Martin Blunos at Taunton School in Somerset last weekend.
The event was organised as part of the British Association for Shooting and Conservation’s Taste of Game week. Guests were treated to a menu of Salad of Seared Pigeon Breast, Smoked Bacon and Black Pudding and Rocket to start, Supreme of Pheasant with Somerset Apples and Calvados and for pudding Lemon Posset presented with Warm Spiced Autumn Berries.
The meal was followed by an after dinner speech by the West Country's own two Michelin star chef Martin Blunos and continued with a fashion show of country clothing.
BASC regional director for the south west, Jamie Stewart, said: “We had a fantastic venue in the form of Taunton school with its gothic features and superb staff. I’d like to thank MC Kelly's of Crediton and Rookmarsh.co.uk for supplying the food and to Glenfarclas whisky and also to the Somerset Young Farmers and local supporters for modelling the array of clothing supplied by Country Catalogue, Mark Megilley of Musto and Fine Feathers.”
