There will be a whiff of the military in the air at this year’s BASC Wales and Borders Game and Country Fair at Usk, Monmouthshire on June 7/8 when the star attraction in the main arena will be the Light Cavalry of the Honorable Artillery Company.
They will be presenting their fast moving and exciting mounted ‘skill at arms display’ which consists of demonstrating the use of lance and sword and a tent-pegging competition.
The continuous main and mini arena will also feature displays of falconry, gundogs, ferreting, hounds and flycasting and lots more to keep you entertained. Hands-on opportunities are also plentiful with clay shooting instruction, muzzle-loaders, air rifles and archery, plus a wide range of quality trade stands.
