Shotgun Coaches - PDF These are fully trained shotgun coaches who have been through the BASC coach mentoring system and are re-assessed every 3 years.
Some coaches own their own shooting grounds, some operate with existing shooting grounds. Others may be willing to come along to a green-field site to set up a small coaching session for you and some friends or offer one to one tuition. All of them can be found from time to time on the BASC Coaching line at shows and events.
Safe Shot Assessors - PDF With the emphasis firmly on safety, Safe Shots is a well-respected test for both new and experienced shooters and comprises a short multiple-choice questionnaire, a practical safety assessment and a live firing exercise. Call your nearest Safe Shot Assessor from this list for more information and details on where you can participate.
Sporting Agents These are BASC Trade members who offer shooting by the day, month week or year. Often, the shooting is let to roving syndicates, but opportunities for small groups or even single guns are readily available.
Remember, if you are new to shooting you should practice on clay pigeons first and make sure you have some coaching from a qualified shotgun coach to ensure you are competent and make the most of your trip.
