Food lovers are being encouraged to give game meat a go at a special ‘Taste of Game’ event in County Down next month.
The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) has teamed up with The Pheasant, Bar and Restaurant near Lisburn to host the dinner on 17th November 2006 as part of BASC’s Taste of Game week.
Taste of Game week is an initiative designed by BASC to encourage those who shoot to promote game such as pheasant, partridge and venison to a wide range of audiences.
The four–course meal will include roast partridge, a gamekeeper’s duo of venison and pigeon, finishing with a Bramley apple tart tatin served with sloe gin ice-cream and a mulled wine glaze.
Booking in advance is essential, as this is a ticket-only event. The Taste of Game dinner costs £27.50 per person and includes a free drink on arrival. For bookings and menu details please contact BASC Northern Ireland on 028 9260 5050. Each reservation requires a £10 deposit. |
