We are pleases to announce that we have managed to reduce the cost of the Young Shots Introduction Days from £20 to £15 for members and from £40 to £35 for non – members (including a years membership)
Young Shots Introduction Days are open to anyone aged between 10 and 18 years old. This is a really fun day which will introduce you to shotgun shooting and air rifle shooting.
The day also includes various other countryside activities such as

Falconry
-
Wildfowling
-
Gundog Training
-
Fieldcraft and Decoying
-
Fly fishing
-
Fereting
The cost is £15 per day for BASC Young Shots members or £35 if you are not a member (this includes a years membership)
Following the introduction of Progression Days last year we are pleased to say that we will again be running the Level 1 Progression Days in Shotgun Shooting and Rifle Shooting.
If you have already attended a Young Shots Intro Day then the progression day is the next step in either Shotgun Shooting or Rifle Shooting – depending on which one you enjoyed most.
This year we will be introducing Progression Day Level 2 for those who have completed a Level 1 day and would like to progress further.
Both progression days cost £30 each. Make sure when you apply you state whether you want a level 1 or level 2 day and whether it is in Shotgun Shooting or Rifle Shooting.

5th August- Young Shots Progression Day Level 2
To be held near Dawlish in Devon
12th August - Young Shots Progression Day Level 1
To be held near Wareham, Dorset ***NOTE DATE CHANGE***
19th August - Young Shots Progression Day Level 1
To be held near Coleford, Gloucestershire
26th August - Young Shots Progression Day Level 2
To be held near Cheddar in Somerset
To apply for the day please make sure your parents have read and filled in the form attached. Tell us which days you would like to attend and if it is a progression day be sure to state whether you would like to do rifles or shotguns.
Send your form, with a cheque for the full amount, made payable to BASC, to BASC Smokey Bottom Lodge, Staple Fitzpaine, Taunton, Somerset, TA3 5BL
All the equipment for your day is included in the price – all you have to do is bring your lunch! If you are a shotgun certificate holder you may bring your own shotgun.
