Scotland

Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th May 2010
Cardross Estate, Port of Menteith, Stirlingshire

Welcome to the BASC Scotland Country Fair to be held at Cardross Estate, Port of Menteith, Stirlingshire. Building steadily on previous years (and hopefully being a bit more fortunate with the weather!) the Fair is on track to be the largest ever. We are, once again, grateful to the Orr-Ewing Family for the use of the estate. The estate is an ideal setting for a fair – truly rural in location, yet easily accessible for most of Scotland’s population.

Our key priority is to ensure that the fair remains firmly aligned with country sports and hopefully this will be apparent in the programme of events and in the number and nature of trade exhibitors. Whilst making sure that the BASC Scotland Country Fair is truly a country fair, we also want there to be something for all the family – whether it be our ever-popular and much extended craft tent (in conjunction with Crafts 4U Events), or the range of activities for the younger members of the family.

There are many opportunities to get involved at the Fair, perhaps trying your hand at a new aspect of country sports, be it fly casting, trying your own dog in the scurries, air rifle shooting or taking advantage of BASC’s expert clay pigeon coaching. There will also be opportunities for the more experienced to take part in our competitive clay pigeon shoot or the open and novice gun dog tests.

You'll find lots of information here about visiting the BASC Scotland Country Fair, whether you're a prospective trader or a visitor. We look forward to welcoming all of our guests, visitors, competitors and traders, whether you are one of our regular visitors or joining us for the first time.

If you cannot find the information you require on these pages, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Yours faithfully,

Donald Muir,
Events & Training Officer, Scotland
