What BASC does for Gamekeeping students

  • BASC aims to help students who want to become gamekeepers of the future by providing information and support to both the students and the colleges. It is our aim to help protect the future of gamekeeping. 
     
  • BASC has good links with Lantra on the provision of game and wildlife management National Occupational Standards and meets with Lantra on a regular basis.
     
  • BASC Gamekeeping student membership costs £22 (2010/2011) regardless of age of student. Students must be studying on a recognised game-related course at college. Full BASC benefits apply to the gamekeeping student membership. Contact 01244 573030 or click here to join.
     
  • Provision of resources to the college including codes of practice, information booklets and visits and presentations by BASC staff.
     
  • Organisation of the BASC Gamekeeping College Challenge clay shooting competition. This is an inter-college competition set up to get the colleges together for a fun social event.
