Scurry League Rules
The rules for the BASC Chudleys Scurry League are as follows:
- The Scurry league is open to gundog breeds (including recognised crosses of these breeds)
- Points are awarded per class for the scurry league, these are; 1st 30, 2nd 20, 3rd 10
- Only one prize place per dog and handler, per class/scurry (e.g. the ‘lite launcher’ would be one class/scurry).
- Only qualifying scurries carry points for the league
- A dog may not win more than one prize/points per class for the League, even with a different handler
- Its a timed event
- Over the line starts the clock
- Each return over the line stops the clock
- Do not send the dog until told by the time keeper/ official that you can
- If a dog ‘runs in’, then the run/entry is void but the dog may re-enter
- Dogs maybe kept on leads or held
- Entry fee per scurry £2
- Fastest dog wins
- No harsh handling of dogs permitted, mistreatment will not be tolerated
- No limit on entries – however should the organisers feel that excessive competing of a dog may be injurious to that dog's wellbeing an entry will be declined
- It is the competitor's responsibility to ensure the correct details are given to the scurry organiser
- Any dishonest or discreditable conduct will result in disqualification and removal from the League
- The organiser’s decision in relation to any matters arising is final
- The dog with the most points on the league table, after the last qualifier wins the league
- If there is a tie on points then the dog with the most first places, wins
