Over the last year BASC has been re developing its Airgun Coaching award.
The changes to the award will allow easier access to the training and help improve standards within the sport to help protect and promote airgun shooting for future generations.
The Award is not about teaching you how to shoot
The majority of the award is made up of areas beyond those normally associated with how to shoot, and train others. It is essential that the modern airgun coach is equipped to provide training in a variety of situations and be able to publically represent the sport.
The Award is made up of five modules, which the trainee can work through at their own pace; these are -
To meet the criteria each trainee must demonstrate that they are competent in all the Performance Criteria (PC’s) of each module, witnessed by an existing coach and submitted as a portfolio of evidence.
