Colin is a zoology graduate of Glasgow University and has worked for BASC, in a number of roles, since 1984. He has been the Director Scotland since 1994 and is currently a Board Member of the Deer Commission for Scotland and the Heather Trust, as well as a member of SNH’s Scientific Advisory Committee, Scotland’s Moorland Forum, the National Access Forum and the National Goose Management Review Group.
He is an enthusiastic shotgun and rifle shooter, a BASC Shotgun coach and a keen angler, when he finds the time.

Donald Muir is one of the best recognised faces in shooting in Scotland, having been actively involved in wildfowling and all other forms of shooting even well before joining BASC Scotland as our first Development Officer over 10 years ago. In his current role Donald is responsible for all of our varied training delivery, including a wide range of Young Shots courses, all other events such as shows and fairs, as well as the representing BASC Scotland on all the Local Authority committees dealing with wildfowling permit schemes.
Donald is a native of Fife and is also a BASC Shotgun Coach, a Range Conducting Officer and a qualified assessor. His main interests are in wildfowling and deer stalking.

Will coach at all levels, including corporate events and tuition on game 'in the field' if required. Living in Central Scotland, is well placed to cover a wide area of the country. Is particularly interested in providing coaching for children starting their shooting career and also assisting more experienced game shots who are less than satisfied with their current level of skill.

Stephen has a varied background in shooting having competed in pistol, rifle and shotgun events.
After years of coaching pistol shooting, and some informal shotgun instruction, for his shooting club; Stephen completed the year or so of training required to become a BASC shotgun coach.
Since then he has coached for BASC exclusively in Scotland operating at most of the main fairs.
A safe shot assessor, and a nationally qualified NRA range conducting officer.
Coaching activity includes Cluny Clays in Fife Scotland, and also for a farmer friend who runs an activity center offering Quads, Hovercraft and clay shooting at Craigluscar Activities near Dunfermline in Fife.
I have helped at several young shots days and a ladies day, held jointly at Trochry and the Dunkeld shooting ground.
