All areas of the life of the nation can be relevant subject matter for schools and shooting is no different. As an activity practiced by over 1,000,000 people nationally, it directly concerns around 1/60th of Britain’s population and indirectly affects everybody else. Whatever your standpoint, educators should be aware of what it is all about.

Shooting can be part of any curriculum from history to science to PSHE or religious education and in some schools, it is actually taught practically. In time, these pages will gradually build up to act as a resource of information, discussion and teaching packs devoted to every aspect of the subject, so please return whenever you want to find something out.
