Shooting can be part of any curriculum from history to science to PSHE or religious education and in some schools, it is actually taught practically. In time, these pages will gradually build up to act as a resource of information, discussion and teaching packs devoted to every aspect of the subject, so please return whenever you want to find something out.
If you want to extend your knowledge or deepen your understanding of the bodies that deal with shooting practically you will find links to their websites in these pages.
If you or your child has experienced anti-shooting prejudice within an educational establishment, and would like to raise this issue with the school or college, a guidance leaflet is available from BASC.
Some teachers and educators are either at a loss to know how to approach the subject in schools, or unable to decide where it fits in. Follow the link below and start by downloading the Teachers Resource pack. The guide can be photocopied if you want to circulate it around staff at your school.
