Sporting Rifle Course – Small game and Lamping Each one day course involves time in the classroom going through detailed theory of rifle shooting in the area / discipline involved, followed by the afternoon/ early evening spent in the field / on the range putting theory into practice. Numbers on these courses are kept to an absolute maximum of 6 per day, so you have plenty of one to one time with the instructors.

The aim of this course is to equip the candidate with the knowledge, understanding, skills and awareness required to undertake the task of Safety Officer and to know the standard expected and be able to set up a shooting/coaching stand safely at a green field site. The BASC Safety Officers Award comprises of a minimum one day training for people who already have experience in handling clay traps. The course is not designed for novices.
