Young Shots Improvers Day

Eligibility – to be eligible a Young Shot must be;

A) A BASC member.

B) Have attended a minimum of 2 Young Shots Activity Days (or have some shooting experience) prior to the Improvers Day. This ensures the participants have been coached on at least two previous occasions.

C) Be aged between 12 and 18 years.

Maximum on each course – 20

Cost - £50.00 per Young Shot per day, includes all clays, cartridges and use of shotguns (participants may use their own shotgun with the approval of the coaching team).

Format for the day

1) Shooting theory, short lectures and demonstrations.

2) Coached shooting across a number of stands with varied targets.

3) Informal competition – team flush.

4) Presentation and dispersal.

Objectives – safe shooting, effective shooting, confident shooting, fun shooting.

Time – 10.00am (prompt) to 5.00pm (approx).
