National Taste of Game Fortnight

National Taste of Game Week in 2009 was so successful that this year The British Association for Shooting and Conservation [BASC] are extending the promotion by a week and renaming it National Taste of Game Fortnight, which will run from the 6 – 20 November 2010.

This unique initiative is organised by BASC to highlight the benefits of game meat as a local, wild and nutritious food, while at the same time providing a focal point for encouraging the public, BASC members and their friends to enjoy the great taste of game.

We are currently getting offers of support for this year’s initiative from Game’s On supporters around the country who are putting their plans together for National Taste of Game Fortnight.

We are back in London for another series of game tastings which will run, from the 11th – 13th of November [11am – 2pm each day] from the famous Borough Market with a number of leading chefs, including Mike Robinson and Vivek Singh. We are also in the process of finalising plans to run a game tasting event in the north of England at a well known football ground on a Premier league match day.

We are sponsoring a brand new Game Food Festival on the 13th of November at the Yew Tree Inn, Bunbury, Cheshire and are holding a Celebration of Game Dinner on the 11th of November at the Cinnamon Club in London and as usual, there will be plenty of competitions to enter in the November issue of Shooting and Conservation magazine, which is published on the 1st of November.

We have produced a new Game’s On recipe leaflet which is available as a download from the Game’s On home page or my emailing us and we have produced Game’s On posters for our supporters to use to promote game sales throughout the year, which are now available by emailing simon.hamlyn@basc.org.uk
