Young Shot Friendly Clay Grounds
These grounds have told us that they are particularly suited to new shooters. This means that experienced and qualified coaches will be on hand to help, and that guns, cartridges and safety equipment can all be provided.

These are fully trained shotgun coaches who have been through the BASC coach mentoring system and are re-assessed every 3 years.
Some coaches own their own shooting grounds, some operate with existing shooting grounds. Others may be willing to come along to a green-field site to set up a small coaching session for you and some friends or offer one to one tuition. All of them can be found from time to time on the BASC Coaching line at shows and events.
With the emphasis firmly on safety, Safe Shots is a well-respected test for both new and experienced shooters and comprises a short multiple-choice questionnaire, a practical safety assessment and a live firing exercise. The BFTA is the National Association of the Governing Bodies relating to Field Target shooting in Scotland, Wales and the seven Regional Associations in England. Field Target is the sport of shooting metal silhouette targets with air rifles, in natural outdoor environments.
