With a coastline stretching from the River Thames to The Wash, and inland as far West as Peterborough, the Eastern Region encompasses some of the most unique landscapes in the UK and includes The Fens and The Broads. Along with the acres of saltmarsh and wetlands the region also covers the nation’s breadbasket, its capital, and strives to represent every aspect of shooting from the grass roots upwards.

With such varied membership in the region, BASC is the voice of  the shooting community at all levels in the East in our common objectives - the promotion of healthy eco-systems, and therefore healthy quarry species; the maintenance of standards; access to shooting opportunities for all; and fair and balanced coverage in the media.

Access to the countryside, particularly coastal access, is an important issue for the shooting community and BASC in the Eastern Region seeks to keep informed on the issues that are arising by keeping in touch with Local Access Forums and responding to consultations on access issues.
