    Ladies' Driven Game Days

    New courses facilitated by local Staffordshire rural training firm A L Rural are up and running this Summer holiday. Learn how to use wild food from field to table whilst carrying out sustainable countryside management, ultimately avoiding waste and utilizing healthy, low cholesterol meat.

    Our gundog training course begain in March and is heavily over-subscibed. Each day takes place at a different venue throughout the Midland region and if you have a ground which we could use, we'd love to hear from you.

    BASC Midlands volunteer Paul Sadler received a special award at the Association's June AGM for all the work that he does supporting BASC at shows, events and visits to trade members. He is pictured receiving a framed caricature of himself from BASC President Lord Home.

16. Children's Hospice Charity Shoot

    BASC Ladies’ Training Days in the Midlands 2011

    The BASC Ladies’ Training Days are designed to encourage women to take up shooting and assist them with clay and/or game shooting. On your day you will learn about guns and cartridges, gun fit, safety, master eye, stance, certificates as well as field etiquette and dress. You will be part of a small group and be allocated a BASC coach who will remain with your group throughout the day.

    Gamekeepers' Fair, Catton Park, Walton on Trent, South Derbyshire

    The BASC Gamekeepers' Fair Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th April 2011 Established firmly now in the grounds of Catton Park in South Derbyshire the traditional Gamekeepers' Fair can trace its roots back over 30 years. Growing year on year it has maintained the quality and focus of an event enjoyed not only by keepers and their families but for a growing number of people interested in the countryside and its way of life.

    The search is on for the sharpest-shooting gamekeeper in the UK. A national clay shooting competition for gamekeepers run by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) will be held on 9th and 10th April 2011 at the BASC Gamekeepers' Fair at Catton Park, Derbyshire.
