In a bid to encourage women into game shooting we have organised three driven shoots this season. Each day is designed for those new to live-quarry shooting so you will be provided with a 'minder' to ensure safety.

The BASC Ladies’ Training Days are designed to encourage women to take up shooting and assist them with clay and/or game shooting. On your day you will learn about guns and cartridges, gun fit, safety, master eye, stance, certificates as well as field etiquette and dress. You will be part of a small group and be allocated a BASC coach who will remain with your group throughout the day.

The BASC Gamekeepers' Fair Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th April 2011 Established firmly now in the grounds of Catton Park in South Derbyshire the traditional Gamekeepers' Fair can trace its roots back over 30 years. Growing year on year it has maintained the quality and focus of an event enjoyed not only by keepers and their families but for a growing number of people interested in the countryside and its way of life.

The search is on for the sharpest-shooting gamekeeper in the UK. A national clay shooting competition for gamekeepers run by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) will be held on 9th and 10th April 2011 at the BASC Gamekeepers' Fair at Catton Park, Derbyshire.
