Students at the University of Derby Buxton are joining forces with the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) to promote British game this November.
As part of National Taste of Game Week (14-21 November), the students from various courses will be assisting with the preparation and serving of a three-course game dinner on Friday 20 November at the University’s ‘Dome Fine Dining’ restaurant. The restaurant is situated within the magnificent Great Dome, the building which used to house the horses and servants of the 5th Duke of Devonshire.

Chef coordinator, Gerry Henry, said: “This is a great opportunity, firstly for the advanced catering students as the preparation and cooking of game covers part of their learning assessment. For all of the students these events provide added value to their studies by working in a realistic environment, creating a fantastic opportunity to widen their practical experience.”
The three course meal costs just £27.50 per person - to book your place phone BASC’s Liz Lamb on 01335 324507.
The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), which organises National Taste of Game Week, has been instrumental in increasing the awareness of game as a high quality, nutritious food source.
