On 19th November, Sandra Herbert, Chair of Leicestershire Food Links, an organisation that promotes local food, is organising a ‘Go for Game’ evening supported by Brockleby’s Farm Shop, nr Melton, at the Whetstone Pastures Farm, Whetstone, Leicestershire. Brockleby’s is well known for its rare and minority breed meats and home cooked pies. The event begins at 7.30pm and there will be the opportunity to watch demonstrations on making the most of game meat.
The farm's gamekeeper will demonstrate plucking and skinning and there will be plenty of tasty game treats to sample. A glass of wine will accompany the food and tickets are £6.00 with all proceeds going to support the work of Leicestershire Food Links.
