Young Shots who have attended one of BASC’s activity days are being given the chance to win a traditional day pheasant and partridge shooting in Shropshire.
The day, to be held on the Longner Estate, near Shrewsbury, has been kindly donated by Andrew Bailey from Longner Sporting (www.shropshire-activities.co.uk). It will start with a simulated drive followed by four game drives and each winner will be allocated their own minder for the day.
Throughout the day the professional videographers ‘Smokin’ Barrels’ (www.smokin-barrels.co.uk) will film the whole experience and each participant will be sent one as a lasting memento.
To win a place applicants must; in nor more 200 words, submit a piece of writing explaining what they think gamekeeping does for the countryside and why they should be picked to take part.
The competition is open only to BASC members aged 12-18 who have attended at least one Young Shot’s activity day and are able to attend on 9 November. They must also hold a current shotgun certificate and ensure their entries arrive by 12 August.
Entries must be posted to Steve Bloomfield at the Midland Regional Centre or email your entry
Winners will be notified no later than 1 September.
