What is Young Shots?

Young shots is the membership category for our members aged up to 21. BASC organise a number of events throughout the year for our Young Shot members at low cost – these could include training days, activity taster days, conservation events and much more. Here in the South East our Young Shot members can take advantage of a number of discounts provided by our trade members on production of our discount card. All this and as a Young Shot member you can take advantage of all of the great deals and services that a full member has access to.

How do I become a Young Shot?

If I become a Young Shot how do I find out about events?

All of our events are advertised on-line (where you can access booking forms) or through Shooting & Conservation magazine. We also write to people in the local area, but if you don’t hear from us that doesn’t mean you aren’t invited! Simply call the office on 01798 865165 or look at the diary pages on-line to download application packs.

I have an idea for an event or venue that BASC could use – who do I speak to?

If you have an idea for an event, competition or activity we are not already doing contact the SE office to let us know!

I am not sure where the law stands as a young person shooting – can you help?

Yes! BASC have a full time firearms department who you can phone for advice or you may find what you need to know on our advice and information page. Don’t be afraid to get in touch though if you are not sure!

How many Young Shot members are there?

Here in the South East we have over 1000 Young Shots all taking part in rural persuits – have a story or photo to share? Then e-mail us at southeast@basc.org.uk with the subject Young Shots – we’d love to hear from you and maybe you will even get into our magazine!
