The famous Browning Heritage is semi hand-made which explains its impeccable quality. It is “dummy-run “assembled a first time, before being polished, engraved, oiled and then finally re-assembled. During each of these assemblies the contact surfaces are checked and the wooden parts are hand filed to an exact fit. The stock is made of luxurious walnut and oil finished, while the rounded half-pistol grip and the tulip fore-end are a true homage to the legendary B25 created by John Moses Browning in 1925. The engraving on the sideplates was created by Cesare Giovanelli, the master who trained most of today’s Italian engravers.
The winner will be able to choose between the Hunter or Sporter versions. Both guns come with 5 Invector interchangeable internal chokes.
The most remarkable innovation in the X-bolt is the adjustable three-lever Feather Trigger system that gives this rifle a firing sensation of unequalled quality. A new bolt unlock button allows the bolt to be opened with the safety on for unloading. The new design is more compact and better balanced making the X-bolt a very functional rifle. The completely new Inflex Technology anti-recoil pad comes as a standard feature.
The winner can choose their rifle in any of the calibre versions and choose any Leupold or Burris telescopic sight to the retail value of £700.
The Classic is built on an action that’s proved itself over three-quarters of a century however the weight and balance have been markedly improved. The metal-to-metal and wood-to-metal fit are excellent, as are the lustrous blacking and well-cut chequering.
