South East Young Shots' Conservation Days.

The UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), will host two conservation days in East Sussex and Oxfordshire for young people.

The first event will be hosted on 29th July at Plumpton College, East Sussex, and will include a shoot walk and opportunities to learn about gamekeeping techniques and how to improve game and wildlife habitat.

A similar event will be hosted at Great Milton, Oxfordshire, on 4th August, where Young Shots will learn about habitat management, pest control and encouraging biodiversity.

BASC’s South East regional officer Jenni Thompson said: “Our Young Shot conservation days are unique events to the region and have proved very popular with our members. These events offer a chance to see shoot conservation work in action. We are very privileged to have access to some very important parts of the countryside for these events in terms of the wildlife they are home to and this makes the day all the more exciting for our Young Shots.”

Both events cost £15 per person and are open to both members and non members aged eight-years-old and older. To book a place, visit the BASC SE homepage at http://www.basc.org.uk/en/in-your-area/south-east/ or phone 01798 865165.
